Report on National Webinar on “Statistical Census data analytics in digital ERA: Methods, Challenges and Policy Implications “

The Department of Statistics  successfully organized a National Webinar on the theme “Statistical Census Data Analytics in Digital ERA: Methods, Challenges and Policy Implications.”

The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 250 participants across the nation attending all sessions.

The program featured distinguished Resource persons and experts in the field of Statistics,

The first resource session was conducted by Shri. Manohar R, Deputy Director General, Regional office, Bengaluru and Chennai NSO, FOD, Ministry of statistics and programme Implementation, Government  Of India , he provided valuable insights into the “Official statistics” .

The second resource session was delivered by Prop.T.P. M. Pakkala, adjunct professor mangalore university. mangaluru Karnataka, “he provided valuable insights into utilising census data for population study and national development” .

The third  resource session was delivered by Prop .B.S Biradar Senior professor of Statistics (RTD)Department of studies in Statistics. University of Mysore ,Karnataka , he provided valuable insights into “statistical challenges in census data”

The webinar was convened by Dr. Shrinivas A. T, who played a pivotal role in organizing the event. The planning and execution were efficiently handled under the guidance of Dr. Y. Tammanna, Principal, along with Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, IQAC Coordinator.

The technical team comprising Smt. S. D. Patil, Dr. Shivanand Lamani, Shri Pranesh Joshi, and Shri Basavaraj Kuchanur, Mr Prabuling Gunjetti ensured the smooth conduct of the online sessions.

The program was hosted by Mr Manjunath P. Myagedi, while the introduction was given by Smt. Rajashree  Madabhavi and Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, The webinar concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Miss.Shilpa Honawad, expressing gratitude to all speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a grand success.

 

Overall, the webinar provided a comprehensive platform for discussing the “Statistical Census data analytics in digital ERA: Methods, Challenges and Policy Implications”
