BLDEA Association’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce and Science College for Women, Vijayapura, Department of English, organized a One Day Workshop on “The Art of Reading and Writing”
The programme began with a prayer song by Divya Pujari, BA Second Year student. H. S. Desai, Assistant Professor, Department of English, welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries.
Sri A. S. Kanchyani, the Chief Guest, conducted an insightful workshop on “The Art of Reading and Writing” and highlighted the importance of reading habits, critical thinking, and effective writing skills.
The programme also included the distribution of ISBN research publication books and certificates to the participants of the Two-Day International Conference titled “Voices Across Borders: Literature, Culture, Communication, and AI in the Global Era” held on 25th and 26th October 2025 in collaboration with Cape Comorin Trust, Tamil Nadu.
Prof. Rashmi S. Patil, Convener and Head, Department of English, presented the rapporteur report and highlighted the conference achievements. As a major outcome, 55 research articles were published in Harvest: An International Multidisciplinary and Multilingual Research Journal (E-ISSN: 2582-9866; Impact Factor: 5.4). Further, two ISBN-edited volumes containing 40 research papers by faculty and students were distributed by the dignitaries.
Prof. Prabhuling Gunjetti, Assistant Professor, Department of English, initiated the distribution programme.
Dr. Y. Tammanna presided over the function, while Prof. Nandeesh, Head, Department of Education, was present on the dais. Tousif B., Assistant Professor, Department of English, faculty members, and around 80 students participated in the event. The programme was compeered by Sneha Pujari, BA Final Year student, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Afroz Bagwan, BA Final Year student.
