Under IQAC initiative,
*Youth Red Cross(YRC) and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) jointly organized ‘WORLD AIDS DAY -2024’ under the theme “Take the right path, My Health , My Right”*
at 8:am on 30- Nov- 2024 in Seminar Hall. Welcome and Introductory speech by Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar IQAC Coordinator and executive memberof IRCS, Deputy Director of Health and Family Department of TB and AIDS- Dr. M.B.Biradar, IRCS Chairman Prof. S.G. Roodagi , IRCS Secretary Prof. S.G.Murnal, Principal Dr. Y. Tammanna were present.
On this occasion, Awareness Rally was organized from our college campus to Siddeshwar Temple, more than 200 students actively participated in the rally along with awareness slogans and display of placards and Awareness created by lightning the candles in Seminar Hall of our college.
Dr.M.B.Biradar addressed the gathering, who explained the prevention , precautionary measures of AIDS and also to measures to be undertaken and role of Health department of both central and state government in eradicating and controlling AIDS. Prof. S.G.Roodagi IRCS Chairman addressed the students with the need of awareness is highly essential among the college students & this awareness should be shared & explained with their friends and family members, society & community. Dr.Bhakti Mahindrakar described about the need of awareness, especially amongst the students & appreciate, the dedicated task undertaken by health department with respective eradication of AIDS and measures in the form of treatment as a result, the percent of AIDS patients has decreased, hence further awareness is highly essential. Dr.Y. Tammanna, Principal proposed presidential remarks & appreciated the health department of central and State government. Sir also appreciated IRCS for creating awareness.
Compeering of the whole event ‘ WORLD AIDS DAY -2024’ under the theme “Take the right path, My Health , My Right” was very well managed by Mr.Mallikarjun Kenganal.
