RESEARCH METHODOLOGY WORKSHOP: HOW TO WRITE RESEARCH PAPER
On 11/02/2025, Research Committee Organized Research Methodology Workshop on “HOW TO WRITE RESEARCH PAPER”
Resource Person ā Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, Assistant Prof. Dept. of Economics,
Objectives of the Workshop:
1. To introduce participants to the fundamental components of a research article.
2. To provide practical guidance on selecting a research topic and conducting a literature review.
3. To teach participants about different research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
4. To offer step-by-step instructions on drafting each section of a research article.
This workshop was for the newly appointed faculties, UG & PG Final Year students. The resource person started with the basic idea of working with Research and Innovative minds. She gave an introduction & objectives of the research and went on with explaining about each and every concept mandatory for writing a research paper.
The workshop initiated from selection of topic, framing title, Introduction, Review of Literature, Methodology. Discussion, Data Analysis, Findings, Conclusion & References. Special clarification was given on methods of collecting primary & secondary data, method sectioning and preceded with incorporating the essentials of research paper. Resource Person asked students to focus on writing abstract, results and conclusion with utmost care, also explained how proper writing of references and citations are important to the quality papers. The workshop highlighted each aspect of research article with many examples ābeforeā, āduringā and āafterā writing the research paper.
Later on, she briefed about the significance of Review, Citation & plagiarism. Finally, she motivated students for quality research and stressed on productive teamwork to have good results.
Staff & Students found this workshop interesting and knowledge gaining. Students got to know a lot about how to start their journey through writing their first research paper.
Dr. Y.Tammanna, Principal of the College proposed presidential remarks & motivated the staff to organize such Research Methodology workshops & guided to the students to take benefits of sessions to expand their knowledge in research and also to enlarge their intellectual ability in resenting & publishing the research article.
Outcome:
The Workshop on How to Write a Research Article successfully met its objectives, providing participants with the essential tools and skills needed to draft high-quality research articles. The positive response from participants indicated a high level of satisfaction with the workshop content and delivery.
Dr. A. T. Srinivas, Coordinator, Research Committee, Prof. P. S. Tolanur, Head, Department of English along 38 Faculty Members and 121 UG and PG students were present.
