Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women, Vijayapura
The 4th Day Orientation Programme for the newly admitted First Semester B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., and B.C.A. students was conducted successfully on 6 August 2026 in the Seminar Hall of the college. Around 185 students and 8 faculty members attended the programme.
The programme aimed to familiarise the students with the academic environment, college facilities, student support services, and responsible conduct on campus. The session also focused on creating awareness about cyber safety and responsible use of digital technology.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Y. Tammanna. The resource persons, Shri M. M. Kuruvinashetty, Smt. A. H. Patil, and Shri R. D. Anjutagi from the Cyber Police Station, Vijayapura, delivered an informative session on Cyber Safety, Prevention and Cybercrime Awareness. They encouraged students to stay alert while using online platforms, avoid sharing personal or banking information with unknown persons, and report any cybercrime immediately to the Cyber Police.
The programme concluded with the presidential remarks by Dr. Y. Tammanna, followed by the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Soujanya. The session was informative and beneficial, helping students begin their academic journey with greater awareness and confidence.
