Report on the Day 3 Orientation Program, Deeksharambh and Ethics & Moral Values: Foundation for Holistic Development.
An IQAC initiative organized the Deeksharambh Orientation programme Day 3 alongside an Ethics and Moral Values session for UG First Semester students of all programs, including BA, B. Sc, and B. Com streams. Held at the Function Hall, the event featured an inspiring keynote address on ‘Vidur Neeti’ and an educational presentation on character building, ethical decision-making, and moral integrity by the resource person Shri. Raghuttam Arjunagi (Principal, B.D.E. Society). Presidential remarks by Principal, Dr. Y. Tammanna. Program graced by Dr. B. R. Mahindrakar. In-charge faculty members Shri. Shivanand Lamani and Miss Vaishnavi Kulkarni coordinated the proceedings.
During his address, the chief guest spoke on ‘Vidur Neeti’, highlighting that wealth without ethics, knowledge without character, earning without morality, and politics without principles are destructive, while also outlining behavioural traits like befriending enemies or disrespecting elders that characterise a foolish person.
The welcome speech was delivered by Miss Chandrakala Doddamani, the program was hosted by Smt. Shaila Rebagonda, and it concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss. Boramma Desai, with a report presentation by Miss. Vaishnavi Kulkarni. The successful program was attended by 20 faculty members and 143 students.
