BLDE Association’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce and Science College for Women, Vijayapura,the Department of English, under the IQAC Initiative organized a Special Lecture on “Communication Skills and Professional Ethics” on 7 August 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the College Seminar Hall.
The programme commenced with an invocation by Miss Keerti, BA Final Year, who rendered a melodious prayer song. Mrs. Rashmi Patil, Head, Department of English, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Dr. Ramesh P. Chavan, Associate Professor of English, Shri Shankar Arts & Commerce College, Navalgund, Dharwad.
Dr. Chavan delivered an insightful lecture highlighting the significance of effective communication skills and professional ethics in academic, personal, and professional life. He emphasized verbal and non-verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities. His interactive presentation, supported by practical examples, encouraged students to develop confidence, improve communication abilities, and uphold ethical standards in their careers.
Dr. Tammanna Y., Principal, delivered the Presidential Remarks and appreciated the Department of English for organizing such a meaningful academic programme. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Prabhuling Gunjetti, Assistant Professor.
Prof.V.Nandeesh, Head, Department of Education, and Mrs. Husna Desai, Assistant Professor of English was also present during the event. The program was anchored successfully by Miss.Danamma M, BA final-year student.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of faculty members and 120 students, making it highly informative, interactive, and successful.
