Report on National Chemistry Day Celebration

The Department of Chemistry celebrated National Chemistry Day on 4th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members.

The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Y. Tamanna. The event was graced by Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, IQAC Coordinator, Mr. V. S. Nandesh, NSS Coordinator, Smt. Noor Nishad (HOD of Chemistry Department)and the Resource Person, Dr. S. N. Unki, who delivered an inspiring lecture highlighting the importance of chemistry in everyday life, scientific research, environmental sustainability, and career opportunities in the field of chemistry. His informative session motivated students to develop scientific thinking and innovation.

As part of the celebration, a quiz competition was organized for the students to enhance their knowledge of chemistry. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various classes.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners of the quiz competition were felicitated by the dignitaries. The Principal, IQAC Coordinator, NSS Coordinator, Resource Person and HOD of the Chemistry Department jointly distributed the prizes and congratulated the winners for their outstanding performance.

Third prize goes to Jyoti & group.

They also encouraged all students to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities.

The presidential remarks were delivered by Prof. V. S. Nandesh, NSS Coordinator, who appreciated the efforts of the Department of Chemistry in organizing the programme and encouraged students to cultivate scientific thinking, curiosity, and innovation in their academic journey.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, resource person, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the National Chemistry Day celebration a grand success.

A total of 87 students & 15 faculty members attended the programme..
