BLDE Association’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women, Vijayapur
With the support and guidance of Dr. Y. Tammanna , Principal , the Youth Red Cross (YRC) Cell of BLDE Association’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women, Vijayapur, celebrated World Red Cross Day in a unique and humanitarian way. The program was held under the theme “United in Humanity” and focused on spreading kindness and compassion.
As part of the celebration, faculty members and students visited Shashidham Old Age Home and donated fresh fruits to the residents. This thoughtful gesture reflected the true spirit of the Red Cross movement — serving humanity with empathy and care.
The initiative was coordinated by Dr. Shakuntala Patil, YRC Coordinator , with active support from Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar , IQAC Coordinator , Smt. H.S. Desai, Miss Shweta Tadavalga, Smt. Chandrakala Dodamani, Mr. Somashankar Tuppad, and Mr. Shankarling Kadur. A group of 25 enthusiastic students also participated, making the event impactful and memorable.
The program not only brought joy to the elderly residents but also instilled values of social responsibility and service among the students. It was a meaningful way to honor the principles of the Red Cross and strengthen the bond of humanity.
