BLDEA’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women, Vijayapura, The Department of Education successfully organized a National Webinar on the theme “Role of AI in Education: Innovation, Impact & Ethics.” The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 100 participants across the nation attending all sessions.
The program featured distinguished academicians and experts in the field of education. The Keynote Address was delivered by Prof. Udaykumar Kulkarni, Professor, Department of Education, Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura. He highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reshaping teaching and learning processes, while also addressing ethical considerations.
The first resource session was conducted by Dr. Vanishree Koppad , Coordinator, Department of Education, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. She provided valuable insights into the integration of AI tools in pedagogy and curriculum development.
The second resource session was delivered by Dr. Pornima Ganesh Kadam , Principal of Prathibha College of Education, Chinchwad, Pune, Maharashtra. Her session focused on practical applications of AI in teacher education and its long-term impact on academic institutions.
The webinar was convened by Shri V. S. Nandesh, who played a pivotal role in organizing the event. The planning and execution were efficiently handled under the guidance of Dr. Y. Tammanna , Principal, along with Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar , IQAC Coordinator.
The technical team comprising Smt. S. D. Patil, Dr. Shivanand Lamani, Shri Pranesh Joshi, and Shri Basavaraj Kuchnur ensured the smooth conduct of the online sessions.
The program was compered by Miss. Bouramma Desai, while the introduction was given by Miss. Kavita Shivoor and Miss. Shweta Tadavalagi. The webinar concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Miss. Rashmi Alagi, expressing gratitude to all speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a grand success.
