Health Checkup Camp 2025-26 Under the IQAC initiative, the Department of Physical Education and Sports organized a Health Check-up Camp in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross Cell and NSS Unit I & II on 9th April 2026. The camp was conducted in the college premises with the support of doctors from BLDEA’s Sri B.M. Patil Medical College and Research Centre, including Dr. Anuradha Boosnur (Kavekar) from OBG, Dr. Pooja Choudhari from Medicine, and Dr. Jadhav Shubanji from Pathology, along with their respective teams.
The event was graced by Principal Dr. Y. Tammanna, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, Physical Education Director Dr. Savita Aneppanavar, YRC Coordinator Dr. Shankutala Patil, NSS Unit I Prof. V. S. Nandesh, and NSS Unit II Prof. Deepa Lagali.
A total of 320 students and 25 staff members underwent health check-ups covering general medicine, OBG, Orthopaedics, blood sugar, blood pressure, height, weight, blood group, and hemoglobin testing. Doctors also provided personal counselling on diet, yoga, exercise, and management of hormonal imbalance, while gynecological issues were addressed in detail. Health cards were issued, and medicines including Calcium and Zinc supplements were distributed for general complaints. Students requiring further medical attention were referred to BLDEA’s Hospital, Vijayapur.
Outcome:
The camp successfully promoted preventive healthcare and awareness among students and staff, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Youth Red Cross Cell, NSS Units, and BLDEA’s Medical College.
