BLDEA’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts and Commerce for Women, Vijaypur NSS Units, Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club Organised a visit to the flood affected area Nagnur 1 KM away from Padasalgi Bridge, Jamakhandi. The Principal, IQAC co-ordinator, NSS unit co-coordinators, chairman of youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club along with 25 volunteers visited the village on 24-08-2019 at 1:30 PM. The college team distributed food grains and drinking water to the people residing in the flood relief camp at Nagnur, its people were evacuated to Savalgi for their safety. We could see smiles on their faces while distributing ration, food to them. We felt satisfied after their smiles. Hope they will settle again to their normal life.
The students of the college and staff had voluntarily donated amount to the tune of Rs 20,000/-. The amount was spent to purchase Food Grains like Rice, Dal, sugar, tea-powder, Bombay Rava etc. The items were packed separately to distribute it at the flood affected site.
