The Department of Physical Education and Sports celebrates National Sports day on the Commemorate of the Birthday anniversary of Major Dhyanchand, Hockey legend, on 29th August 2026.
The Program Begins with offering flowers to the photo of Major Dhyanchand.
Smt Bharati Patil, Administrative officer Women and Child Welfare, Vijayapur, shared her views towards the sports.
And one more guest, Dr. B G Math, took a practical session with a scientific meaning of miner games related to life. Dr Savita Aneppanavar, Physical Director, presented a brief History about Mejor Dhyanchand s Birth, life and Achievements of Sports in the field of Hockey. Principal Dr. Y Tammanna addressed the Precidencial remarks. Dr. Savita Aneppanavar delivered vote of thanks. Prizes were distributed to the players who have participated and won prizes in the Asmita Khelo India District League Wushu competition. IQAC Coordinator Dr Bhakti Mahindrakar shared the Dias.
64 students and teaching and non-teaching staff members attended the program.
