International Women’s Day Celebration

Under the IQAC initiative,The Women Empowerment Cell of Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women, Vijayapura, celebrated International Women’s Day on 9 March 2026 at 10:30 AM in the college Function Hall.

The program was organized with the theme “Give to Gain”, highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment, social contribution, and collective progress. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Y. Tammanna.

On this occasion, Mrs. Nirmala Surpur, District Programme Officer, Department of Women and Child Development, was honoured as the Woman Achiever for her dedicated service toward the welfare of women and children.

The event was coordinated by Mrs. Anita S. Dolli, Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Cell. Mrs. Anita S Dolli madam Welcomed and introduced dignitaries. Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, IQAC Coordinator gave introductory speech about the program. Ms. Rashmi Dashyal compeered the event, Mrs. Shweta. Tadavalgi proposes vote of thanks.

Faculty members and students actively participated in the celebration, making the program meaningful and inspiring.The celebration witnessed active participation, with 40 staff members and more than 200 students attending, making the occasion both memorable and impactful.

The celebration concluded successfully with a message of equality, empowerment, and respect for women in society.
