B.L. D. E. A’ s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts Commerce and Science College for Women Vijayapur. The Department of Sociology organized a one day Field Visit to Siddi Tribal Settlement of Uttar Kannada District (Manchikeri) on 07/11/2025. A total number of 57 students of BA III and V Semester along with 4 staff members participated in this field Visit. The purpose of the visit As our BA Final year students study the Tribal Society in their curriculum. So Visit was unable to gain first hand understanding of tribal life with focus on the social, economic, culture, educational, and livelihood patterns of the Siddi community.
This visit provided to be highly informative and educational, helping students related classroom knowledge with real-life social situations. The department is thankful to the principal for support and encouragement in organizing this academic activity
