Details of Event:
An IQAC Initiative, as part of the ongoing orientation week, the institution organized Day-5 of the program focusing on Special Lecture on “Empowering Girls through Legal Knowledge.” The programme started with an invocation song by Ms. Shrusti & team (B.Sc III Sem) and inaugurated by watering the plant.
Special lecture was delivered by the resource person Smt. Vidyavati Ankalgi, Advocate, Vijayapura. The session focused on fundamental legal rights for women under the Indian Constitution. The speaker discussed major laws protecting women from harassment, discrimination, violence & Major Indian Marriage Acts (Marriage registration & Divorce grounds)
Prof. V.S.Nandesh presided over the programme & shared his viewpoints regarding the lecture. Smt.Shweta Ganti introduced the Resource Person. Welcomed & anchored by Smt. Rajeshree M. & Vote of thanks given by Ms. Shilpa H – Faculty, Dept. of Statistics. Report prepared by Ms.Soumya Shattar – HOD, Botany.
The 17 teaching staff and 55 students attended the programme.
