Under IQAC Initiative, Department of Kannada celebrated World Human Day on 5th January -2023. Students talked about the life of Kuvempu and the female characters in his Sri Ramayana Darshanam. In honor of Kuvempu’s birth anniversary on January 2nd, a quiz competition on Kuvempu was arranged. A total of 138 students from the BA, B.Com, and BCA departments participated in the competition. Rekha P Hirekuruba, a student in the fifth semester of BA, won first place in the competition. Deepa Badigera and Manjula Halannavar, both first semester BA students, won second place. Supriya Nikkam, Pooja Rampura, and Akshatha S shared third place. These students were recognized with cash prizes, award letters, and book prizes. A total of 15 staff members including principal, IQAC coordinator, head of Kannada department and 138 students attended the program.
