Health Awareness Campaign
On the occasion of World Health Day, the Youth Red Cross Cell of BLDEA’s Smt. Bangaramma Arts, Commerce & Science College for Women organized a Health Awareness Campaign in the slum area of Vijayapura city.
The primary objective of the campaign was to create awareness among the residents about the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene, especially during the summer season. The students actively participated in the program and interacted with the local community to educate them on simple yet effective health practices.
During the campaign, the students emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, such as regular handwashing, keeping the surroundings clean, and consuming safe drinking water. They also highlighted the need to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.
Special attention was given to the harmful effects of excessive exposure to the sun. The residents were advised to avoid going out during peak afternoon hours and to take necessary precautions such as wearing protective clothing and using umbrellas when stepping out.
The campaign received a positive response from the local community, who appreciated the efforts of the students in spreading awareness about health and hygiene. The program was both informative and impactful, contributing to the well-being of the people in the area.
Overall, the initiative was successful in promoting health consciousness and encouraging the adoption of healthy habits among the residents, marking a meaningful celebration of World Health Day.
