Under IQAC Initiative Department of English of BLDEA’s Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts, Commerce and Science College for Women, Vijayapura organized a Special Lecture on Introduction to Literature: Nature and Characteristics on 10th October, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall. It was MoU collaborative activity with GFGC for Women, Vijayapura.
The programme began with a formal invocation song, followed by the welcome address delivered by Prof. Rashmi S. Patil, Head and Assistant Professor, Department of English.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Ananthpadmanabha.Y Saravandi, Head, Department of English, Government First Grade College for Women, Vijayapura. In his enlightening lecture who elaborated skillfully on the meaning, scope, and significance of literature.
The event was presided over by Dr. Y. Tammanna, Principal of the college. The IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Bhakti Mahindrakar, Smt. H.S. Desai, Shri. K. A. Patil, Shri. V.S. Nandeesh and other staff were present. Kumari Sneha Pujari anchored the programme. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Prabhuling M. Gunjetti, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, management, principal, and participants for making the event successful. 117 students were present in the lecture.
