The Department of Home Science conducted a Fruit and Vegetable Carving- Skill Enhancement Activity to commemorate National Nutrition Week on 03-09-2025 . The objective of the program was to create awareness about the importance of healthy eating by including more colors in the diet through fruits and vegetables.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Anita Dolli , HoD of Home Science , Students actively participated by carving and presented fruits and vegetables in creative patterns, highlighting the nutritional significance of different colors – green, red, yellow, orange, purple, and white – each representing unique health benefits.
The activity combined creativity with nutrition education, making the event both skill-enhancing and informative. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the department and students for spreading awareness in an innovative way.
The exhibition of the carvings was well received by staff and students. The event successfully emphasized the role of dietary diversity in maintaining health and commemorated National Nutrition Week – 2025 in a meaningful manner.
