Under IQAC initiative our college Youth Red Cross cell , Red Ribbon Cell, NSS unit I & II , Women Empowerment Cell and Indian Red Cross Society jointly organised special lecture on “GENDER SENSITIZATION” on 12 -06 -2024 at 10:30 a.m. for our students of all the streams of B.A, B.Com, B.Sc and BCA.Ā Dr. K. A. Patil, co-ordinator Youth Red Cross, welcomed and introduced guests of today’s event. Dr. Bhakti Mahendrakar, Executive Board Member IRCS was invited as resource person to share her views on the topic Gender Sensitization. She enlightened our students with Facts of Women in India and also shared steps to fulfill the objective of gender equality through schemes provided by the Ministry of women and child development. Prof. S.G Roodagi,chairperson IRCS addressed our students about importance of donating blood. About 18 students voluntarily donated blood to commemorate the World Blood Donor day which is celebrated on14th June 2024.Around 25 hygiene kits were distributed to students. Principal Y. Tammanna concluded with presidential speech. Sir emphasized on the women discrimination in the society . Prof.V.S. Nandesh co-ordinator, Smt.Anita S Dolli ,co-ordinator Women Empowerment Cell shared the stage along with the guests.Ā Dr. R.G Kamatar, Department of kannada, compeered the program and Dr B.V.Patil , Department of Hindi, proposed vote of thanks. About 22 teaching faculty along with 188 students were present in the today’s function.
