Under IQAC Initiative, Department of Kannada was observed on 1st November-2023 at 10.30AM in college Seminar Hall.Chief guest of the function was Shri.Hasimpeer Walikar, Chairman of Kannada Sahithya Parishat, Vijayapura District. He delivered the Special lecture on Topic::”Kannada Sahithya mattu Jeevana Moulya”.
On this eve under the banner of “Hasirayithu Karnataka, Usiragali Kannada” 50th Foundation Day of Karnataka various Competitions were organised.
On 30th October-2023 Essay Competition for students was organised and the winners are as follows:
1.Miss.Ranjitha Kakkalmeli, BA 3rd Sem, 1st Prize
2.Miss.Sneha B Pujari, BA 1st Sem, 2nd Prize.
3.Miss.Apoorva Kumbar,BA V Sem, Miss.Archana S.Dandi,BA 1st Sem and Miss.Rakshita E Badiger, B.Com 1st Sem, 3rd Prize.
On 31st October-2023 Kannada Speaking Competition for teaching and Non-teaching staff was organised and the winners are as follows:
1.Shri.V.S.Nandesh, IQAC Co-ordinator, 1st Prize.
2.Shri.Mallikarjun Kenginal, HoD of Hiustory,and Shri.Prabhu Gunjatti, Department of English,2nd Prize.
3.Shri.Raghavendra Kulkarni, Department of BCA and Miss.Rekha Gadagi, HoD Department of Political Science, 3rd Prize.
The program was followed by prize distribution with certificates, Books and Saplings of plants which was carried out by Smt.Savita N Lamani, HoD Kannada Department.
