The college organized a special lecture on “Women’s Legacy in Indian Historical Memory” under the IQAC initiative in collaboration with the Department of History.
Delivering the lecture, Dr. Anand Kulkarni highlighted the significant contributions and legacy of women in Indian history. He emphasized the role of women in shaping India’s social, cultural, and historical heritage and encouraged students to recognize and preserve their contributions.
The programme was presided over by Principal Dr. Y. Tammanna , who emphasized the importance of understanding women’s contributions in the broader context of Indian history.
Dr. Bhakti Mehindrakar, IQAC Coordinator, was present on the occasion. Miss Chandrakala Dodamani, HoD, Department of History, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. The programme began with a prayer song by Keerti Kuchnur and was anchored by Shri. Vishwanath Naik, Department of History. Miss Chaitra Aloor proposed the vote of thanks.
The lecture enriched students’ understanding of the invaluable contributions of women to Indian historical memory and inspired them to appreciate their enduring legacy.
