The BLDE association, SBS Arts, Commerce and Science College for Women, under the IQAC initiative of the Department of Commerce, organised a guest lecture on the topic of “Human Values-Pathway to Fulfilment” for the benefit of commerce students. The programme aimed to inculcate ethical values and a greater integrity & humanistic approach among the students in which so essential for personal and professional fulfilment.
Dr.Mamata Bannur, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, GFGC Navabagh, Vijayapura, delivered the lecture. She elaborated on how human values like honesty, compassion, respect, empathy and gratitude are the foundation for a meaningful life. She explained that In the present competitive world, professional success without human values is incomplete. She interacted with students with real-life examples and motivated them to practise values in their life to achieve holistic fulfilment.
This programme was presided over by Dr Bhakti Mahindrakar. In her presidential remarks, she advised students to imbibe human values along with academic excellence.
This programme was hosted by miss Boramma Desai, Faculty, Department of Commerce. Mrs Somashekhar Tuppada was introduced as today’s resource person, and Smt Shaila Rebagond proposed the vote of thanks at this programme.
Around 120 students were present.
