Special Lecture – “Women, Biodiversity and Environmental Sustainability: A Cross-Disciplinary Perspective on Plants, Animals and Ecosystems”

B.L.D.E. Associations, Smt Bangaramma Sajjan arts, Commerce and Science College, Vijayapur, under the IQAC initiative department of Botany and Zoology organized a special lecture on *“Women, Biodiversity and Environmental Sustainability: A Cross-Disciplinary Perspective on Plants, Animals and Ecosystems”.*
Prof. Milan Rathod, Assistant Professor S. .B. Arts, Commerce and Science College, Vijayapur, served as the Resource Person and delivered an informative and engaging lecture highlighting the importance of biodiversity and environmental sustainability. The session provided students with valuable insights into the interconnectedness of plants, animals and ecosystems, while emphasizing the role of women and society in promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Bhakti Mahindrkar, IQAC Coordinator. Ms Soumya Shettar, HOD, Department of Botany, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Person.
The programme was graced by the presence of Smt. Savita Patil, BSc and B. C. A Co-ordinator and Prof. V. S. Nandesh; around 50 students are present.
The programme was anchored, and the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Smt. Shweta Tadavalagi.
